Technology

Technology sure makes life easier, but did you know that it can also provide you with better dentistry?

Dr. Jon is constantly on the lookout for technology to improve the care you receive here at Tiger Family Dental. When we can make your visit more comfortable or provide you with more precise care, it is worth the investment in you!

Here are some of the latest items we have brought into our Sedalia, MO dental office to give you the best dentistry and comfortable care.

3-D Cone Beam

Placing dental implants for the best results and long-term success requires precision. Our 3-D cone beam technology allows Dr. Jon to place your dental implant in the most beneficial location.

A 3-D view of your bone and anatomy, such as sinuses, makes it possible to completely plan your dental implant surgery before we even begin. Additionally, 3-D cone beam technology allows us to capture images of other biological structures, such as your jaw joints, which can help in diagnosis.

Massaging Dental Chairs

New advancements in technology now allow dental chairs to have features that enhance the comfort level for patients. Tiger Family Dental invested in features for the office that make each and every appointment comfortable and inviting. Massaging dental chairs are one way that you can relax and be comfortable while we treat your teeth! The chairs use an air inflation system so that its not too aggressive, but just enough to add to the comfort level you receive.

Televisions in Treatment Rooms

Making your experience enjoyable is part of what we do. Most people don't get enough time to themselves, so we invite you to kick back and relax in our treatment rooms and catch up your favorite show or that movie you missed. Having televisions in the treatment rooms can provide a welcome distraction and make time fly by during your appointment. Just let us know what you would like to watch!

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a small, handheld device that we place inside your mouth and use to take high-resolution pictures of an area or even of individual teeth.

When we explain dental conditions to you, it may be hard to imagine. An intraoral camera allows us to show you what we see. Presenting your conditions and treatment in this way provides an opportunity for you to make the best decisions possible for your oral health.

We also use intraoral pictures to monitor your conditions over time. If you do opt for treatment, we can send these images, along with your x-rays, to your insurance company, maximizing your benefits.

Digital X-Rays

We have replaced old film x-rays with a superior method of capturing x-rays, using digital technology. When we take an x-ray, the information instantly appears on our computer screen and is ready for evaluation. Additionally, digital x-rays are higher in resolution. Dr. Jon can also zoom in, improve the contrast, and adjust the exposure. This makes it possible to diagnose dental conditions, such as decay, earlier than ever.

Digital x-rays protect our environment. Because we eliminated the need for a darkroom and developing, we no longer produce the chemical waste associated with traditional dental x-rays.

Storing, transferring, and comparing your x-rays is easier than ever because they remain date-stamped and available in your digital chart. All your information is stored securely on an encrypted server, making paper charts unnecessary. This is added security for your privacy!

Digital Impressions

When planning crowns and other restorations, we can avoid the use of gooey, imperfect impression material.

We use a digital scanning device that takes the place of old-school impressions and gives us greater accuracy when planning your restorative treatment. We can forward this information from our software directly to our trusted dental lab.

The results are a final restoration that looks and feels great!
